Join Dynamo Girl founder, Vanessa Kroll Bennett, on Monday, November 7th from 7:30-9pm at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan for the first in her series, Conversations on Parenting and Beyond. Vanessa will be in conversation with the authors of the new book, Grown & Flown, Lisa Heffernan and Mary Dell Harrington. Filled with advice from experts and thought leaders, the Grown & Flown book focuses on the central challenge of “how to give teens independence while holding on to the family intimacy that is essential for them and us.”
The evening will be an opportunity to learn from the authors as well as for participants to explore their own experiences parenting teens and young adult children. Our goal is to create a communal conversation about this exciting and challenging stage of parenting.
Grown & Flown began as a digital community for parents to share their experiences raising teens and young adult children. It has grown into a phenomenon that reaches millions of parents monthly through the Grown & Flown website www.grownandflown.com and across social platforms @grownandflown. Copies of Grown & Flown will be available for purchase from an independent local bookstore.
